Harlequin Sheep

Meet the sheep breed that's the size of a Babydoll Southdown Sheep (less than 24" tall), naturally polled (hornless), has striking color patterns, and is easy to raise and care for!

We are so excited to be the first farm breeding registered Harlequin Sheep in the state of Colorado.

Please click below for more information on this incredible breed.

Harlequin Sheep

This breed was developed around 35 years ago by Kathleen Sterling in Virginia. Their small size makes them easy to handle and they require less space/acreage to graze. We love their calm temperament, small stature, soft fleece, and gorgeous, varying colors.

Generations

We successfully bred seven ewes with two different rams for Spring 2026 lambs. We're expecting F1-BD, F2, F3 and AP generation lambs between March 26th through April 16th.

Get ready for lots of lamb spam!

Future Plans

We will continue to help grow the Mini Harlequin Sheep breed and plan to focus on breeding higher generation lambs.

We currently have 3 purebred (AP) ewes, and look forward to having a purebred flock in the future.

Babydoll Southdown Sheep

2 of our ewes are Babydoll Southdown Sheep. Following the HSSR breed-up program, we breed our Babydoll Ewes with Mini Harlequin Rams for registered Mini Harlequin lambs. After owning both breeds, we have fallen in love with Mini Harlequins and are working to have a purebred, Mini Harlequin flock only.
